MCA stacking detection
See every position already pulling from the account
Funder debits hide behind short, inconsistent bank descriptors. Underly matches each one to its funder and groups the pulls into positions, so a stacked file can't hide in the descriptors.

How it works
How a position is built
- Funder match
- Each debit's bank descriptor is matched to the funder behind it, including the truncated and abbreviated names ACH pulls carry.
- Grouping
- Debits from the same funder and instrument form one position. A debit with no named funder is grouped by the counterparty on the statement.
- Cadence
- Daily when every pull lands one business day after the last, with bank holidays allowed for. Weekly, biweekly or monthly when every gap falls within 6 to 8, 13 to 16 or 27 to 34 days. It takes at least three pulls, and when the gaps disagree the position says so.
- Monthly total
- Your payment amount scaled to a month by its cadence if you set one, otherwise the run rate of the pulls on the statements.
- Position detail
- First and last debit, months active, how long before statement end the last pull landed, the latest payment and its range, average debit, total debited and the deposit that funded it.
- Instrument
- MCAs, bank loans, leases, BNPL, factoring, auto loans, mortgages and debt collection stay apart. Credit card payments are left out of positions.
FAQ
Common questions
What if the funder isn't one Underly knows?
The debits still become a position, named by the counterparty on the statement. Rename it, set its funder or exclude it, and every figure updates.
What happens when a pull bounces?
A debt payment that comes back as an NSF or reversal for the same amount within 10 business days is marked returned and left out of the debt paid that month.
Are credit cards counted as positions?
No. Card payments carry their own label but stay out of positions and debt service.
Can I see the payments behind a position?
Yes. Every position opens the debits behind it.
