Before you submit
What the underwriter checks first
- Positions the merchant didn't mentionEvery funder debit is matched to its funder from the bank descriptor and grouped into a position with its payment, cadence and monthly total. Count the positions before the funder does.
- True revenue, not depositsTransfers between the merchant's own accounts, owner deposits, advance proceeds and returned items come out, each as its own line. Quote the revenue the statements support.
- NSFs and negative daysCounted month by month and across the file, beside the lowest and average daily balance.
- Signs a statement was editedEvery PDF's metadata is checked and every balance reconciled line by line. A statement that doesn't add up is flagged before a funder sees it.
- Large one-off depositsA deposit worth 20% or more of an average month's true revenue is marked unverified, so you can ask the merchant about it first.
- Gaps in the fileMissing days show as covered days, such as 9 of 31, so you can ask for the missing statement before the funder does.

Broker questions
Does the merchant see any of this?
No. Nothing is sent to the merchant. Analyses are visible only to members of your organization.
Can I send the results to a funder?
Yes. Download a PDF summary with your logo, or the Excel workbook with the summary, months, positions, offer and every transaction.
Will it tell me which funder will approve the deal?
No. Underly doesn't know each funder's criteria. It shows what's in the statements, so you can match the file to the right funder yourself.
Which statements can it read?
PDF, CSV and Excel statements from any bank, up to 20 pages and 5 MB a file, in US dollars or pounds sterling.
Who can see the files I upload?
Only members of your organization. Statements are encrypted in transit and at rest and never used to train AI models.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are monthly, and you can cancel any time from Settings.
